    A man was shot in the leg in the 1100 block of Emmett Street overnight.

    The victim told police he was walking home when a red vehicle pulled up beside him. He said a black male got out, robbed him, then shot him in the leg before taking off.
  • EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE IN COLUMBIA COUNTY

    There’s an emergency temporary road closure on Lake Jean Drive in Evans, according to Columbia County officials. That’s just west of the intersection with Lawrence Drive near Hereford Farm Road.
  • CHILLY WEATHER EXPECTED ACROSS GEORGIA

    Cold temperatures are in store for Georgia in coming days.

    National Weather Service forecasters say a freeze is possible in parts of the northeast Georgia in the coming days.
