The start of a new school year is just around the corner with many area school systems welcoming students back in early August.

Back-to-school shoppers will be happy to hear that tax-free shopping on school supplies and clothing is returning to Georgia and South Carolina the first weekend in August.

Georgia will have two days, August 1 and 2, where shoppers will pay no sales tax on clothing, footwear, school supplies and even computers to give shoppers a break on back-to-school needs.  The tax-free days start August 1 as well in South Carolina, but they extend an extra day, through August 3.
