The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says 13 people were arrested for driving under the influence on the Fourth of July. They say that’s far less than last year, but still 13 too many.
The arrests were the result of three road safety checks that were done over a five-hour period on Friday.
Authorities say there’s still a major problem though with children not being placed in child safety seats. 55 citations were handed out Friday for child seat violations.
