Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp launched two new technology advances in Augusta today that will serve Georgia voters. The first is online voter registration, as well as a mobile application that enables voter registration.
Kemp says Georgia residents will have to have a valid Georgia driver’s license in order to use the online voter registration system.
The “My Voter Page” was launched in 2010. It gave Georgia voters the opportunity to view their specific sample ballot, find their early voting and election day polling locations, check voter registration status and track the status of their absentee ballot. The information is currently available on the Android platform and will be available on the Apple platform later this week. Just search for “Georgia Votes” in the app store.
