A man is in custody charged with shooting and killing his former girlfriend this morning in Warrenville.
Captain Eric Abdullah of the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says 46 year old Todd Brown reportedly kicked in the front door of the woman’s home in the 500 block of Pine Street around 7:20 a.m. The two got into a verbal and physical argument that ended outside the home when shots were fired.
Authorities say Brown fled before deputies arrived, but he was taken into custody a short time later. Brown is being charged with murder, burglary, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The woman was transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center where she died. Her name hasn’t been released pending notification of family members.
