A local businessman who was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence faces an additional charge for trying to bribe his way out of ticket.
44 year old Michael Osbon was stopped on I-20 near the Belair Road exit after he was clocked going more than 90 miles per hour. A Georgia State Patrol trooper arrested Osbon after he failed several field sobriety tests.
Osbon then reportedly offered the trooper as much as $30,000 to avoid going to jail. Officials say the entire conversation was captured on audio and video recordings at the scene.
In addition to DUI and speeding, Osbon now faces an additional charge of bribery.
