It looks like Richmond County students, who were scheduled to make up three instructional days lost to winter weather last month, won’t have to make up the time after all.

School board members voted Tuesday to reverse a decision they made last week to have students and teachers attend school on Monday, March 17th, which was supposed to be a furlough day; Saturday, March 22; and Good Friday, April 18.

Board members admitted they weren’t aware of an all-day training event at GRU on that Saturday that more than 300 teachers were already scheduled to attend.  Board members also cited projected low attendance on the other two days as reasons to forgive the makeup days.
